About Empowerment for Her
Formerly named DAKDIF, is a women-led Danish-based organization dedicated to advocacy and fostering the empowerment of women through knowledge-sharing and collaborative efforts. Our goal is to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (UNSDG) number 5, which aims to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. We strive to equip women with the tools and information they need to thrive while fostering unity and strength within our diverse diaspora community.
Additionally, we actively engage at the international level with key stakeholders, including international actors, policymakers, and NGOs. Empowerment for Her serves as a platform to raise awareness about the situation of vulnerable women and propose strategies for supporting them. We address critical issues such as gender apartheid—systemic discrimination that excludes women from opportunities based on gender—by holding meetings with humanitarian NGOs to share knowledge and explore alternative approaches. Our commitment extends beyond borders as we work to advocate for and empower women on a global scale.
